You forgot to mention the amazing show "Secret Diary of a Call Girl" which was also a chronicle of Belle Du Jour. Best show ever. So disappointed when they stopped making it. Billie Piper was amazing and the fashion put SaTC to shame.

How come all the sweaty, hairy, beer-gutted, moobed, smelly dudes of the world are never asked to be more "modest" while they're walking around shirtless in public? That shit is an affront to my delicate sensibilities, so much more so than a baby head obscuring a boob.

But why shouldn't women be allowed to feed their children without also introducing shame into it? Cause that's what you're proposing, viewing the process of feeding your baby as something indecent and hiding it so you don't offend anyone? I don't have kids, but I have a sister who breast fed all three of her kids

Unfortunately, I have also been around White people saying gross racist things to me. The difference being that I'm a Black woman in the suburbs and the racism is usually happening with me being the only POC in the room and either prefaced or followed by "But, you know I'm totally not racist, I mean c'mon". Like

Because when they get caught out, saying something racially insensitive in public, most white people in that position tend to trot out the old "But I'm not racist, I have black friends" to negate their obvious, glaring racism.

I don't think she's saying those designers and their contributions aren't important. Just that major label designers, the one's who have the most influence in the fashion industry and are more visible to the world at large, should be taking more responsibility for diversity in casting. I don't understand why

Right? It's cause being in possession of a vagina and tit-tays = open to dissection in our culture. Plus, there are just certain types of people who derive great pleasure in tearing down people who are enjoying success in any field. Everything said about a woman is about her body and her looks and how she can better

I knew there was a reason I always liked Kate Upton (besides the fact that people call her fat and she tells them to fuck off.)

I'm glad to know I'm not the only person feeling that way. I was talking to my sister about it like a week after the verdict. I've also been posting a lot about race relations in the US and the world in general. Been having a lot of really interesting, illuminating conversations in the old Facebook feed.

Nope. As the French would say 'C'est adorable'.

It's the same people who find trolling or Holocaust jokes or n*gger jokes or dead baby jokes the height of hysterics. Sad ignorant bigots who have a limited world view and think offending people is the best part of the day. They think it's their job to stir things up and if you get offended, you're the sad one. If

I was just about to say this. I don't know very any old Republican types, but I have seen this being shared by plenty of young White people I know, here in my corner of NY, who have been more than happy to co-opt Black culture ( blasting hip-hop and calling each other "n*ggas" while learning little to nothing about

Why should we defend that?

When I was a small kid, in England, they were my favorite thing ever. I can't even properly describe what they tasted like, just that I have missed them since we moved to the states thirty years ago. They're one of the few things I remember from my time in England.

Something about a nice toned man leg in a skirt...lead to a very confusing early twenties...

Seriously.

I've liked men in dresses since this happened:

I remember this song! I always thought it was Justin Timberlake! It's got that same blue-eyed-soul-MJ-wanna-be feel to it. (Which isn't to say I don't love either of their voices, but that's what they bring to mind for me)
