Not everyone who reads this site is American or follows college basketball. It’s standard practice to introduce a full name before using an acronym. How hard would it have been to write “Louisiana State University (LSU)”?

True story: when George Clooney rocketed to stardom after ER debuted, he had NO IDEA he was now considered a heartthrob after years of toiling in relative obscurity.

True, but I know a few adults with handwriting that bad. My own is only marginally better (if not taking up as much space kn the page).

Forget about these movies. Watch Severance. A great show, period, not just for Apple TV. I’m also partial to Physical, but I recognize it’s more niche, due to both the subject matter and the tone.

This review is making me want to watch this movie purely out of Y2K nostalgia…but I’m sure I can find better examples from the same time period.

I didn’t “read” Heartburn, but instead listened to the audiobook narrated by Meryl Streep, who played Nora in the movie adaptation. Highly recommend. I suspect I wouldn’t have enjoyed it nearly as much if I’d taken it in the traditional way.

Ah, thanks for the intel. I don’t comment much here (I’m only out of the greys on Jezebel).

Rihanna’s fans are informally, collectively known as the Navy. Not sure why.

Just like I think we both watched a different clip, I think we both interpreted this interaction completely differently. Goodnight.

Yep, it was a big deal when Oreos went kosher. The Jewish press had a field day with think pieces on what it meant to be able to indulge — finally! — in this formerly forbidden delight.

I am being completely honest — and you can look at my commenting history if you don’t believe me (not that I am suggesting you waste your time by doing so) — I am debating in good faith. I am not trying to win points. We were having what I thought was a regular back and forth until you kinda snapped at me.

I’m aware of how comedy works, thanks.

Oh, for sure. My point is more about what Scientology does for his sense of self worth when everyone jumps to meet his every desire wherever he is, paid or not, member of the cult or not

I’m not in any way suggesting my childhood is comparable the Francis Ford Coppola’s grandkid.
