Wait, so it’s presented as completely normal and cool that someone gave a series of handjobs to score a position in a boys’ club National Lampoon-style magazine? Jesus. How is that not being discussed more?

Because while it’s not cool and I’m not a fan of violence, it still kinda feels like if someone had the same reaction to a Black person using the word “cracker” as they would to a white person using the n-word.

I haven’t seen SSLCG, but I’ve heard so many good things. What didn’t you like about it?

You’re in a thread full of dudes. You’re not going to get them to understand that while domestic violence is never cool, the threat it poses it to men is not equal to the threat it poses to women.

You can view in list form on your phone.

Aaaahhh…it’s just a personal pet peeve of mine ever since I had religious neighbours as a child who would say “Fuh!” instead of “Fuck!” (didn’t even bother to say “fudge”). Either say the word or not, dammit! The good lord above isn’t impressed.

She’s referring to herself as a child caught up in a shitty system, how she felt at the time — not how she feels now. Disappointing but unsurprising that the media is taking the sensationalist route (and I doubt her publishers are pushing back against it - kaching!).

Can I ask why you used an exclamation point? Why not just write “shitbag”? We know that’s what you wrote anyway.

I haven’t read the book (and won’t), but my understanding is that she recognizes it was systematic and she holds no animus toward Grande. The excerpt provided by Jezebel doesn’t seem to have that context, thereby sensationalizing it.

I generally appreciate your comments, but these are bad takes, dude. Just own it. This isn’t a time for whataboutism.

OMG YES.

I’m Jewish and same.

Right? STOP TAKING TROLLS OUT OF THE GREYS.

Fair.

If you aren’t farting in front of your significant other within a month of dating, you aren’t meant for each other.

Yup, I pay a premium to live where I do, shitty weather and all (Toronto).

Too bad the Beyoncé/Andre 3000 cover of Back to Black isn’t on Spotify.

This late Gen-Xer learned nothing.

The OP is a troll. No genuine attempts to join the conversation or engage with the subject the matter. It’s all talking points.
