I don’t hate Grimes, but she definitely comes from a privileged background. I don’t know about her dad other than that he is a former banker who now works in biotech (thanks, Wikipedia!), but her mother is a prominent Canadian lawyer and columnist (and not terrible podcaster; I used to listen to her Canadaland…

My kid is 15.5 months and says at least 10 -15 words — mama, dada, hi, bye, no, yeah, cat, doggie, wawa (water), her cousin’s name, etc — and can understand a lot more (like she can point to her nose, feet, etc., but can’t say them). It all happened fairly recently (other than “mama” and “dada”) so it’s not that crazy…

Mommy was good (I can’t remember if I’ve seen any of this other movies), but I don’t think he’s famous enough for Dirt Bag. 

I have never seen a full episode of the show, but I feel like I understand enough of their family dynamics to suspect that Kim had four to one-up her.

I’m guessing that in addition to thinking about her biological clock (she’s turning 40 this year), her reasoning will be that they’ve already been together for five years (which means he was 22 when they started? ok). 

I will admit it’s not Rich’s best work, but being familiar with his Mariah fandom, I found the Dead Seriousness of the whole effort to be tongue in cheek. But I agree that it doesn’t really read that way.
