Even Tesla is frequently constrained by battery supply. I don’t think being “focused on the supply chain ages ago” would have helped much. The Model S was released 8 years ago. That’s like barely more than one generation of car.

Eh, that’s disingenuous. Toyota approved the design and used their engine in it (though the engine was modified by Yamaha). Yamaha was basically a contractor. Nissan turned down Yamaha’s concept and Toyota approved it. If Toyota had hired a few contractors to design the 2000GT, would it not have been to Toyota’s

I’d take stuff like that with a grain of salt. First, it could just be because they’re a bit wide. I’m 175 lbs which is considered squarely average for my height and I’m fine. American cars also tend to be built for slightly above average BMIs so I swim in some “sport” bolstered American car seats. Also, they might

6' is pretty close to normal these days. I’m SURE this car can accommodate someone 6' tall. I’m 6'2" and have no problems in any modern sports car.

I agree. This looks no worse than their coupe. Some cars like the Continental GT I originally thought were ugly grew on me. The Veyron never grew on me. It looks like a terrible throwback design gone wrong.

Kia definitely has much more R&D money going into EVs than Chrysler. They make two very competitive EVs. The Niro EV actually has some of the best range this side of Tesla.

I’m not as opposed to crossovers as some, but I would hope that we can get the weight down on EVs, either through better battery chemistries or maybe even some breakthrough in hydrogen fuel cell EVs. The only reason the center of gravity is so low on EVs is because the batteries are so heavy. You don’t see sports car

Were only black models asked to wear those things? Was it supposed to allude to black features or simply some weird fashion thing?

Jaguars are made with auto ejecting engines now to facilitate their service requirements.

Most (non-commercial) truck purchases are from people who want a compensation tool. Full size is the only way to do that.

Seriously, people are paying so little for airfare these days. If they want the service of yesteryear then they can pay the airfare of yesteryear. My family is tall and we always at a minimum fly economy plus with extended legroom) or we don’t fly at all.

I’m just trying to say that manuals aren’t dead yet. The Supra not having a manual doesn’t mean the niche market doesn’t exist. Not sure what you’re trying to say.

It clearly doesn’t though since it doesn’t have one. American muscle and cars like the BMW M3 still have one. I think American muscle/pony cars will have them until we go full electric.

Transmissions are usually rated by torque, not horsepower. NA motors will typically have significantly less torque for the same amount of peak horsepower.

I’m 6'2" and it’s tight but my knees don’t hit the seat in front. I’ve seen plenty of people well under 6' complain about this.

The BMW 340i (F30 last gen) was sold with a manual transmission for 3 years. It had the optional M Performance tune that bumped the power to 355hp. There’s no question there could be a manual that could mate easily to a B58 that already is mated to a ZF 8HP.

You have an N20/N26, this is a B48. The B48 has some bigger changes which allow for even greater tuning potential and fixes some weaknesses with the timing chain on the older N20/26 motors.

A naturally aspirated 240hp will be much slower than the B48 equipped Supra. Peak power comparisons between turbocharged and NA engines are not apples to apples. I’m assuming most would be happy if the twins got in the range of all motor 230-240hp.

The Supra will also have a significantly more refined interior and better handling. C’mon, it’s basically a BMW. That’s the reason you put quotes around Supra, right? Also, the 255hp B48 is clearly underrated. Similar power rated engines from other carmakers are often significantly slower. Expect straight line performa

The 330i with the same motor is no slouch. In the significantly lighter Supra, it will probably have straight line performance somewhere in between the Camaro and Mustang 4 cylinder turbos. Expect a 0-60 time in the 5s range for this new 4 cylinder Supra.
