Uh it wasn’t glossed over. That was basically the only reason the Tesla won the comparison.

At this level of the performance spectrum, tenths do matter, though. In real terms to us, of course they don’t make any difference, but it takes a lot more power and engineering to cut these insane times down a couple tenths of a second. Also, repeatabilty doesn’t just mean going to the drag strip. If the battery is

The Taycan Turbo S has a 270kW charger than can go from 5-80% in 22.5 minutes. Factor in also that most owners will have a nice garage that they keep the car charged in every evening, and this car will have plenty of range for almost anything it will be used for.

You have to watch out for the danger to your manifolds though.

You have to consider though WHY the Porsche is so consistent. What has Porsche done or what has Tesla NOT done that there is such a huge disparity. It may not just be repeated acceleration tests that this eventually makes a difference in.

It’s both. Ludicrous mode only works when the Tesla is fully chaged and has been warmed up for X amount of minutes. So the drp in performance probably has at least something to do with charge though you’re at least partially correct in that heat probably is a large factor.

If you think it didn’t deserve an Oscar that’s fine. If you personally didn’t enjoy the movie, again fine. But can you not accept that a lot of people DID like the movie? If you’re going to be a functioning adult in society, you have to realize that taste is subjective and sometimes your taste is in the minority.

Movies sometimes do a limited release just before the end of the year to qualify for the academy awards. Frozen 2 had PLENTY Of time to qualify. Toy Story was picked because of its franchise.

Big, if true. Seriously though, that’s a good take. If they’re having a self-aware moment then yes, it’s a really good point.

But the Sienna is especially terrible. I remember renting one and wondering how they could make such a terrible product.

I was driving a G35 coupe with winter tires. That thing felt so planted. People in trucks and SUVs probably thought I was crazy as I passed them on the highway on fresh snow. I’ve never driven an AWD car with winter tires in slipper snow, but I bet it feels amazing.

Or it just looks like the Chrysler T&C.

My father only wears one when he’s sick. I guess it’s hard for some people to believe that they’d do something for others’ benefit, not just theirs. Speaks more about you than anyone else.

These large SUVs aren’t very photogenic for some reason. Higher angles do a better job of representing what they actually look like. I’ve seen a lot of X7s (mostly M Sport models) in my area and they look very stately.

Uh, there are plenty of videos on the matter. Nissan does have video supporting their track times. Porsche is the one who called BS on Nissan but then Nissan kept getting lower and lower lap times and insulted Porsche’s driver.

If so, it’ll never end. Kids love them though.

Huge grille notwithstanding, the interior of the X7 truly looks like a large luxury vehicle like an S class or 7 series. The interior of the Escalade looks like the poor man’s version of the previous gen X5. Except for the large screen on the dash. I’d still take the X7 any day of the week. It would look about 100x

What are you implying? Please tell me you didn’t just look it up in the dictionary. You know what it often refers to right?

There are a lot of examples though. The 1995 Lexus LS started at $88,600 adjusted for inflation. About $13k more than today’s car.

Adjusted for inflation this is $57,000 in 2019 money. And people think cars are expensive now. Cars are cheaper than they have been in a long time.
