Yeah, because if they’re Asian or ME women, then there’s no way they appreciate the higher spec cars. That’s only for the white women and men. Right?

That’s generally not true yet. Automotive screens are much more expensive than the ones you see on cheap monitors from Best Buy or Amazon. They are generally higher in pixel density and have to be approved to function in much more extreme temperatures. They also require the supporting electronics to drive the display.

It costs less than a couple hundred bucks to replace an old BMW’s infotainment. And failure rates aren’t exactly sky high. These can easily last 15-20 years. I think the market for classic cars will change, but by then maybe replacements will be very easy to make with newer technology.

Except it does matter. If these experience significant issues after only 4 years (warranty term) resale values will plummet. There are plenty of people who are well-off who buy off-lease cars to save money. If the resale values plummet, then lease prices will go up. Reliability rankings also go down. Even luxury car

I’ve never had a premature failure of a monitor due to an internal power supply. All decent TVs and most nicer monitors use internal power supplies.

For those interested, it does have VESA mount but the included mount only tilts. No height adjustment.

What’s the point of using engine size to designate a car? They use a 2.0t engine for several different power ranges. They use different transmissions, suspensions, and drivetrain components depending on the power a car makes. They also have to strengthen engine components and put larger injectors and tune the car

M3. 300SL. E30 (not a model, but still). You already listed 300Z but that’s really just Z. RX7. NSX. Calling Corvettes by their generational nicknames (C6, C7, C8).

Old Acuras from the 90s-00s aged like fine wine.

It actually did work for Infiniti (e.g. the G35). Though I bet it would have sold even better if it had the Japanese name of “Skyline”. I’m guessing they didn’t do that to separate themselves from the Nissan nameplate though.

Agreed. Judging by the fact that reviewers who’ve actually seen the car all say it looks like a premium car, I’m going to say that it probably looks stunning in person.

The more expensive engine is still faster. As a car enthusiast, you should know that peak horsepower means nothing when comparing a turbocharged engine. You have to actually look at a graph of the power curve or calculate the area under curve). The 1.6t makes peak power at 5500rpm vs the 6100rpm of the 2.5 and the

It’s really not that much bigger. It’s still a relatively tiny car. I honestly wouldn’t want to drive something that was built with a thin sheet of metal with no thought at all to crash safety as a daily driver. Have you seen how people drive these days?

Do you mean auto-leveling headlights like found in a lot of German cars? Is it standard in other countries? They should be standard for cars with headlights of a certain brightness. It’s also annoying how slow USDOT is to implement anti-dazzle features like matrix lighting or aimed lights that detect cars and aim

Imperial units were developed by the British. It actually makes a lot of sense from a practical point of view before the need for very precise measurements and scientific experiments. America just hasn’t moved away from it yet. Even the U.K. still uses it to some extent.

Honestly I’d just be happy if a majority of people actually used their turn signals.

For the record, I actually imported German amber turn signals for my car. So it’s not like I don’t appreciate amber turn signals.

If you live in America and you didn’t register a blinking red light as a turn signal, you shouldn’t be on the road.

Headlight alignment is the biggest problem. Also, some of those overly bright headlights are from aftermarket headlights. Most auto body shops do not properly aim headlights after doing front end work. Properly aligned, most headlights on cars would not blind drivers. Sometimes even fresh off the lot they’re not aimed

My 2017 SS uses bi-xenon HIDs. I’m fairly certain the 2014/2015 pictured above is the same.
