Jalopnik is still mainly considered a blog. A lot of what they do is regurgitate larger publications.
I think the one problem with CR’s testing is that they used brand new cars for the testing. As cars age, their tolerances loosen up a bit so having premium could theoretically keep detonation in check.
Ugh, electrical tape. Never use electrical tape unless you want a sticky mess next time you have to mess with the wiring. Use gaffer tape if you just need to secure bundles of wires. Or heat shrink tubing if you have to cover bare wire. To be honest, at 12V, you can probably use gaffer tape to insulate wires, but you…

It’s a little bit unfair to call the i4 just an electrified ICE car. The newer architectures were created with modularity in mind and the ability to adapt them into EVs. It’s not as if the cars were 100% optimized for being ICE vehicles and were just converted to EVs.
You have it backwards. Companies like FCA don’t have any QC steps which lead to disasters like customers forcing them to recall brand new Jeep Wranglers with faulty welds.
Only to find out their car wasn’t one of the 7 cars.
ICEs and turbochargers are going extinct. Many decades from now when there are very few ICE cars on the road, using the Turbo moniker as a top trim designation will quaint and nostalgic. Kinda like how cars with the “GT” designation really aren’t GT cars (The Ford GT is not a grand tourer nor is the 911 GT3). There…
It’s not. I also though that, but it turns out in CA (and other regions where the term is used commonly), highways/freeways are above ground. So surface streets are those that have at-grade intersection with other streets that are paved on the surface.
1980-1984? Eh, we’re not really Millennials in the popular sense. We know too much about Cassette tapes and life before the internet.
That top load is tied to the driver’s headrest. That seems incredibly stupid and dangerous. I don’t think the headrest pawls are rated for loads.
And they should make it look just like a Ford interior.
That’s a false equivalency. Most things have a sweet spot. It’s completely possible and logical to complain about two opposite extremes.
Agreed. And a lot of cars looks similar to your car. They have buttons for the radio, climate control, and seat heaters if equipped. That’s really all you need for most drivers and cars.
If they can’t attract younger buyers they will see a slow but sure path to the end. They purely exist based on their brand and there are obviously better bikes at the prices they sell for.
As opposed to the great work you do by commenting on Kotaku.
Ah OK. I believe that has something to do with it, but you also have to consider the A7 is just a cheaper car. Though it doesn’t offer the 2.0T trim the A6, the prices are similar if you option an A6 comparably. Even so, since the A6 starts much lower and I imagine most of their sales are the 2.0T version, it sells…
When I say 7 series, I mean the BMW 7 series, the class competitors to the A8. The A7 is just a body modified A6.
More power to you.
Same here. I was looking at an ATS but was turned away by CUE, interior space, and general interior quality.
