Except the boomers are the same way.

I don’t understand what you’re asking. I do not “hate the car sooo much.” I’m offering up honest pros and cons of the car. I stated the car is “decent” and “worth the price.” I also said that it is large and comfortable and while not as good of a sports car as the Mustang or Camaro, it’s not meant to be. In another…
Ah OK. I re-read it and it is still a little ambiguous, but I see what you’re saying.
Imagine being so tone deaf that you complain about not receiving SOCIAL security because Democrats are too busy funding other social programs. Social security was created by democrats as a social welfare program. If you take out Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security, the amount we spend on things like welfare are…
The Charger/Challengers weigh nearly 1000 lbs more than some of those “crapwagons” people talk about. I personally think the Charger is a decent car and certainly worth the price. It definitely has a market as a large comfortable and (sometimes fast) cruiser that handles better than any FWD and many RWD sedans.
The W210 E55 weights 3768 lbs. That’s lighter than a BMW M340i or C43 AMG. The Scat Pack Charger weighs 4400lbs. Sharing a platform doesn’t mean the cars drive the same.
Stock the car makes 485hp. You’re already close to 500hp. I don’t have a problem with removing resonators if you want some more sound (at the expense of drone), but if you want power that’s not the right way to get it.
It’s a good car and you get a lot for your money. But it feels like a big car and doesn’t really try to hide it. I also am personally not a fan of the styling as it looks too bloated and top heavy. The widebody kit makes it look a LOT better, though. Good enough that if there were a Scat Pack widebody with a Tremec 6…
It’s a trope, but how common is that? Sure you see it once in a while, but it’s exceedingly rare even in a place like Southern California. And it’s pretty obvious when you do see it. You don’t see a fully decked out BMW 340i M Sport with M3 badges. It’s usually a Civic or an E36 325i with some terrible aftermarket…
Lay off it man. Turbo is essentially Porsche’s trademark at this point. Is this the hill you’re going to die on?
First off, this is a tester for a publication. Those cars are always highly optioned. The SRT starts at $63k and Dodge currently gives you a $4750 rebate before any deal you make with the dealership. The car is already fairly well optioned as a base model and even with a couple small niceties like active cruise…
What? How? The Bugatti video was miles better and they never do that stupid astronaut walk. How is Koenigsegg making fun of something that Bugatti never did?
That just looks like a gravity bleed.
Oh you really believe that, don’t you?
Eh close enough. The base cayman is totally stripped down anyway and no one buys it. The base Supra is actually totally daily driveable and comes with much more standard features.
I’m not saying I was suprised by the dyno. I’m just saying that comparing the advertised peak HP rating of an N/A small block V8 and a B58 is pointless because the B58 actually probably makes similar if not more actual power.
Well the C8 isn’t out yet so it’s still true. Also, you’d be surprised. Power differences between the new B58 engine and the LT1 isn’t as disparate as you’d think. My LS3 Chevy SS has 415hp, but on the dyno it really only shows in the 350hp range. The M40i and the Supra have shown in the 400hp range with a much…
The Supra is in a segment that costs a bit more. It compares favorably to cars like the Cayman, Z4 M40i, and the M2 competition. All those cars cost more to significantly more.
I’m not condoning dealer markups, but the Supra is still a good deal at $60k. It’s still cheaper than the Z4 and much cheaper than the base Cayman, while outperforming or at least matching performance in most characteristics for both cars. The Supra has been compared to the Cayman and Z4 and even the M2C by many…
I just think it depends on the area you live. If you live in a poorer area, you’re going to have more predatory sales staff and finance guys. And I’m willing to be a lot of Kia dealerships are in poorer areas. Also, even if in a nice area, all dealerships have some bad salesmen and even nice dealerships sometimes have…
