You can get a decently optioned RWDM340i for about $59-$60k. It’s safe to say that few people will pay this much for a 330i. 

CD Player prep is a no cost option. The $875 is for the Harman Kardon sound system which is how much it cost in previous gen cars.

Lexus’ launch vehicle was really the LS400. The ES probably released first precisely because it was a re-engineered Camry. They just needed luxury bits for it. The ES they figured was the volume car and the LS was the halo car that defined the brand.

All convertibles do. Has been the case for a long time. Otherwise people would literally lose their heads in a rollover accident in a vert.

That’s another benefit of mild hybrids. Since they basically directly turn the engine crankshaft, they can be retrofitted to pretty much any drivetrain.

For the class they compete in, they are actually not that heavy. Sure, they’re heavy compared to 15 years ago, but all cars are. The M3 is actually just as light as a 4 cylinder 3 series which is lighter than cars like the RS4 or C63.
