Except for Jeep Grand Cherokees (for the record I was the happy owner of a 2014 with the same stupid shifter design).
While I personally like the GTI and would probably get it in this class, the Si is still a compelling car. Honda excels in handling and driver ergonomics. The shifter feel is excellent. The clutch uptake is excellent. The car is responsive. The suspension is the BMW version of econoboxes, i.e. the perfect balance of…
First off, what makes you think I’m not calm. Pointing out your mistakes is not me being a spaz, right?
You just said it was from the last gen Z4/3 series. Now you’re saying it’s from the X1/X2. But as far as I can tell the only common component is the airbag cover which may or may not actually be the same size. The screen, iDrive controller and climate controls are clearly different parts from either the 2019 X1 or the…
I don’t see any similarities with the last gen 3 series or Z4 except for maybe the steering wheel buttons. The parts actually do seem to be all unique (except for the steering wheel buttons). I can’t recall any BMW I’ve been in that has the same parts. Yes, they look like BMW parts, but they look like NEWER generation…
There are plenty of $50k Toyotas. There are also $100k+ Lexus cars as well. Anyway, what you’re really buying is a BMW Z4 with a more rigid body. If you are OK with an automatic, then this is a fine automobile.
See, even if the cost of replacing the engine is more than the car is worth, would he be able to buy another used car and get another 300k miles out of it? Even if the repair costs more than the car is worth, it’s still worth doing if you’re going to use the car the whole time.
How does that have anything to do with being part of a union? That just sounds like things that people talk about at work.
The Monte Carlo SS had a top speed of somewhere between 120-130mph. I had a Subaru GL sedan, and I’m almost positive it can’t even hit 100mph much less 110mph. Maybe in a different trim? I’m not sure how you’d even know unless you measured it with equipment. I bet the Delta 88 has a top speed higher than 110mph with…
I think you’re in a very small minority. The Supra is widely recognized for having a very forward looking design that did NOT look like many other cars of that era.
If you had to make a guess? C’mon, the first Google search shows that R&T tested it with a top speed of 110mph. Are we to believe you didn’t Google it? That you just happened to know the exact figure off the top of your head?
There’s no way the DeLorean can’t go over 85mph. All cars built in that era have an 85mph speedo in a misguided attempt to prevent speeding. The cars actually had much higher speed limiters, though.
I don’t think LSDs were more common on older cars. In fact, it’s still possible to slide the tail out on a modern car with an open diff. It’s just not as smooth.
I agree with the RX7. I was going to put it in but just got lazy. It is one that is better looking than the Supra for sure.
These are all My1993 cars. I know some of them were at the end of their life cycle, but I got lazy and just looked up 1993 cars.
Special tires? Are they matched perfect and staggered special?
Maybe you thought so, but as a kid in middle school, I thought they were awesome. You want to see what some other wheels looked like in 1993? Just google image search “1993 cars” and find anything that’s much better than the Supra wheels.
The MKIV supra is very distinct for a 90s car. Very few cars from the 90s look so modern and hold up as well as it does now. The only other car that has similar lines is the Lexus SC and we all know why that is.
If you’re talking about the chrome, I hate chrome, so I kinda agree. But if you’re talking about the design, well 1993 was a different time. Pretty much any “alloy wheel” was a big upgrade for most cars.
