That’s reprehensible if true. They were potentially destroying evidence and failing to do their job properly. That’s not something I’d be proud of.

A lot of engineers think the knowledge they know in their field makes them experts on virtually all other fields of knowledge. Much like doctors as well. I feel like lawyers are one of the only groups of educated people who do not think that way.
The federal tax credit exists and you can’t pretend it doesn’t. Tesla has adjusted the price of their cars around it and you can bet Nissan will when the time comes.
We’re talking about a Fiat 124 spider, so... probably a 77 124 Sport Spider?
If someone had made this in their garage, I’d be intrigued. Someone is charging $400k for this, though.
The COA might have been issued properly depending on the nature of the inauthenticity of the car.
Straight to insults, I see. I have zero problems with a man wearing a dress, but you have to admit it’s pretty unconventional. The Oscars were a nationally televised event and a lot of people that have never been exposed to something like this saw this. Of course they shouldn’t have said whatever hurtful things they…
This is a car for the 0.1%
Geez what happened in January 2015?
Please, he just exaggerated (i.e. lied) and then came up with some lame excuse to explain it.
Yeah it always confused me when people sat on car hoods in old movies. Growing up in the 80s and 90s, you’d never know that cars carried around what amounted to thin armor around the whole car. Sitting on a hood these days would cause thousands of dollars worth of damage on a new car.
We’re bringing up materials because you’re talking about how older cars had stronger body panels. That’s one point which we’re absolutely right. Older cars had very thick steel.
The reason older cars are stronger is because they use thicker sheet metal. Because of other heavy components, carmakers have had to lighten cars any way they can. Using thinner sheet metal is an option, but they then also have to use manufacturing tricks to strengthen the panels
Second, 15% isn’t backed up by any more logic, evidence, etc., than 20%.
Two, the cost of living has gone up more than food prices have,
According to a review of the XSE hatch, it comes with a manual. I believe that’s the top sporty trim.
The minute your dad parks it in a public parking spot, he’ll get a ticket for it. No cop will ding you for it, but the meter maids are RUTHLESS with that shit.
Definitely not stupid enough to think that buying a foreign car made in America is also supporting America.
500 lbs? I doubt the whole Coyote weighs that much. I doubt the difference between the I4 and the V8 is much more than 200 lbs. Where are you getting a 500 lbs saving? If you’re comparing car weights, the rest of the 300 lbs are probably from more standard features and possibly meatier driveline components. Either…
If a car is big, heavy, and has a high center of gravity, then it’s no fun unless it’s FAST in a straight line. Your 330xi at least has good steering and suspension tuning. It may not be fast in a straight line, but it also has agility going for it.
