I have a feeling that camera systems could easily be lighter than their mirrored counterparts. Most luxury cars have an expensive electrochromatic (auto-dimming), and heated, and motorized mirror mounted in a large housing. They also require adjustment controls inside the car.

Actually, it probably won’t cost too much to replace. Cameras are actually really cheap these days. Consider that you can get dashcams with 1080p or 4k sensors for under $100 retail. Also, do you have any idea how much it costs to replace a heated and electrochromatic rear view mirror with adjustment motors on a

The screens are oriented so they don’t block your view out the window. I agree they should integrate them better, but this definitely obstructs your view much less than regular rear view mirrors.

Especially considering all doors need a manual release anyway. So it’s not saving space or money. I suppose an argument could be made that it helps with older people with arthritis. However, I’m not sure whether or not it’s safe for someone who can’t operate a door pull to be driving a car.

Fuck your insurance company. I hope they have to pay him a million bucks.

Maybe it’s the lack of context. I live in California and while I think these signs were in extreme poor taste, I just don’t see the racism. Fraternities are in their own bubble within an already immature and entitled group of people called college students. I have no doubt in my mind they can be racist, but I feel

As a mature adult, those signs are in terribly poor taste. I don’t see any racism though. I just see crass humor.

Scott Adams believes in lunatic conspiracy theories. It’s completely ruined Dilbert for me.

There’s a reason it happens in soap operas. There are a lot of fucked up people in this world.

That’s purely objective. I think the X3 looks fine and the X4 is ugly. I wouldn’t buy either but the X3 is not a bad looking vehicle.

Actually older trucks were notoriously bad in crash tests because they didn’t have a strong unibody structure. Most trucks on the road (and older BOF SUVs) actually would fare worse in an accident than most modern cars.

I think you’re missing the point. Halo cars for “normal” car brands like Genesis (or Audi or Lexus) are not to make money. These are to elevate the brand. Genesis started with sedans and already have plans to make crossovers on their new, very good RWD platforms that underpin the new G70. The R8 and LFA were never

In the United States? There aren’t really any lawless places that police don’t go. That’s the type of thing that would be published on Infowars or Breitbart.

If you actually believe this, then you are not very shrewd.

The first news about the potential for ads in infotainment screens came out in January of 2018. So far, no news has indicated that any cars actually have this. What car do you drive?

There was a video? I thought it was just a magazine article.

Mazda 6 is sub 50k! But Sonata is typically between 150-200k.

But the direct sale model is so much better because people who have no idea how to physically talk to people don’t have to negotiate anything!

I’m fairly certain the Sonata sells in the same range as the Fusion (around 200k units). Mazda and Kia probably have fewer, but I don’t know about “sub 100k”.

Honda and Toyota make the best mid-sized economy cars in North America. That doesn’t mean Ford shouldn’t be able to make money selling 200,000 Fusions.
