That’s true for virtually any non-limited car. Although, $35k for a $40k car is a bit of a stretch. The Camry is a good seller and considered a very good car even if it does huge volumes. Everyone shouldn’t just expect $35k without some good old fashioned negotiation that fewer people seem to know how to do. That more

Maybe it depends on your size. I’m 6'2" and have no problems with round wheels on 911s or M3s. The M3 is a sedan though, so there’s no reason a car like that should have space limitations. I’ve driven the GTI plenty and I never felt the flat bottom wheel did anything to help if your steering wheel is properly adjusted.

If you like the way it looks, great. Just don’t try to convince yourself it has any performance credentials. Especially in a car like the GTI.

So the only qualifier for you in purchasing a car is how fast it is? Size, comfort, luxury, etc. have no bearing for you?

Oh c’mon. It’s REALLY just because some people think it looks cool. If it really were functional then more cars would have flat bottom wheels.

Insurance premiums are totally based on your car’s age and cost. You pay what you should pay. Insurance is just going up for everybody.

If the seats were just a tad sportier, I feel like it’d be a decent car to drive. However, it just looks way too much like the LeBaron. Also, it’s a FWD K Car. If I’m getting a FWD car, it’s going to be a Honda.

My father in law has a Quattroporte. The car drives well for a huge 4 door luxo-barge and has a great exhaust note. From what I hear, that’s what most Maseratis do well, exhaust and handling. However, the car just seems cheaply put together. For a $100k+ car, I think most people expect better. These people have been

Well most of the buttons and switchgear are still Chrysler parts bin specials. The start/stop button, the headlight dial, the combo turn signal/high beam/windshield washer stalk, the window switches, and the infotainment system are all direct lifts from Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep cars. If those cars used high quality

Touchscreens are fine if they are an optional input system. BMW designs their whole iDrive system with the knob in mind and ALSO adds in touch screen usage as an auxiliary input system.

Yeah, but that doesn’t stop used car buyers from touting the MSRP of the new car as the baseline for how much money they saved. NO ONE pays MSRP, not even the nice little old lady who comes in with her checkbook ready to go. Used car “deals” are never as good as most people claim.

The Porsche 959 has got to be on the list of top 10 most desireable cars right now along with cars like the McLaren F1 and Ferrari F40. I’m guessing one in good condition could sell for over $1M. I’m also guessing that once this one is fixed up, it will be worth far more than the cost of repairs and hammer price were.

I’ve bought a lot of new cars and there are very few things that are only added to new cars that aren’t added to used cars. All those things are either things that a savvy buyer should reject (rust-proofing, dealer-prep fees, nitrogen tires, etc.) and aren’t even unique to buying a new car.

50:50 generally is better, not always. Just like saying having a lower BMI is usually better but not always. Weightlifters can have high BMIs, and you can still be unhealthy with a “healthy” BMI. But GENERALLY, people with normal range BMIs are healthier than people that are much higher or lower. Same thing with

Yeah, that word is considered offensive in the U.K. I have no idea what he was trying to say at the end there.

Translation: his rich daddy paid whomever they needed to pay to stay on.

The new Maxima is too new to know if the transmission is reliable in the long term. You have to admit, though, that Nissan has an inordinate number of CVT issues in its smaller cars. Even the Altima. There’s a reason that Toyota is sticking to planetary automatics, they value reliability over all else.

Yeah, if it was really an innocent story telling and they were quoting someone, I think most people would have accepted an apology. I’m not one to jump to conclusions and I won’t assume this is true at all, but usually guys like this have a history of inappropriate behavior at work and the incident that is published

The CVT, on paper, is definitely the perfect transmission. It keeps the engine at its optimum power band at all times. Infinitely adjustable ratios. HOWEVER, the dog shit they put in Nissans is far from perfect. They are unreliable and poorly engineered. Also, to make a CVT that can handle a lot of power, it’d cost a

People like to imagine that celebrities they don’t like didn’t work hard for their career or didn’t have the natural talent to succeed.
