I really love his voice, and the Very Best of Elvis Costello album version of it is beautifully sung ( https://www.youtube.com/wat… ). Also Indoor Fireworks and Satellite, for example.

Costello, from the Rhino edition liner notes for Punch the Clock:

My personal favorite albums are Spike and King of America, and no perusal of Costello's work is complete without them.

Masterfully quoted.

Tucker And Dale Vs Evil should really have made this list, as both a much better genre spoof than Cabin in the Woods and a nearly perfect movie in its own right.

There was actually something resembling a narrative throughline and some dope horror stuff in this episode.

The trailers make this movie look like Inkheart with Jack Black instead of Brendan Fraser.

Ah, do/date/delete, the network TV version of kill/fuck/marry

B minus is a good rating?

Maybe it's just me, but "deep-seated" really doesn't work without the hyphen. The hyphen is essential.

If you've never, EVER read AV Club comments, how do you know you hate these discussions? How do you know what these discussions consist of?

I loved Scott Pilgrim vs the World. The trailers made it look like it would be awful, and then it surprised me by being great.

Pretty good without him but with his casting, story, and pre-vis. work. But then again, I've never seen an Edgar Wright movie, tv episode, or joke trailer that I'd call only "pretty good." Imagine how great it would have been with him directing.

Odd; I'm a Miller fan and I really loved the album. His songwriting was tight, and he and Black Prairie sounded amazing together.

Yeah, it was, my mistake.

I'm disappointed that this list contains neither Rhett Miller's The Traveler nor Cory Branan's No Hit Wonder.

"Will and Riley showing each other around is genuinely sweet. Are these characters all roughly the same age? Early 20s?"

The penultimate one? The second-to-last?

You had a perfect opportunity, and you missed it:
