They probably won’t use it in the opening credits like the original TV miniseries to set their own tone, but it it should absolutely make an appearance!
Yeah, that’s kind of the interesting part of this whole story to me. Like, wait, what?
I really, really love the 1994 ABC adaptation. But, I am looking forward to this!
I don’t suppose there’s any chance at all they’ll use “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper” by Blue Oyster Cult as the theme song?
It says a hell of a lot more about Ellen, doesn’t it? That little bit of her probably incomprehensibly unpleasant actual self slips into her interviews a lot, it seems.
Semi-relatedly, somebody showed me a clip of Ellen interviewing Taylor Swift, and regardless of how you feel about Taylor...holy shit is this uncomfortable. Ellen just ignores her obvious discomfort and plows on with the “hilarious bit”:
I never did trust that Conan O’Brien.
Pressuring someone to drink alcohol is ~never, ever~ funny or okay. There are SO MANY reasons people can’t drink, whether its addiction, religion, pregnancy, health issues, medication, or any other of a vast array of morals or mental/physical health concerns. Whichever of those things it is, it’s absolutely none of…
Ellen has a weird habit of pushing alcohol on people. I saw a Chris Pratt interview where they talked about his weight loss and action hero transformation and then she presented him with a whole tray of Fireball shots. She insisted he have some when he explicitly said he didn’t really drink it anymore, and refused to…
I didn’t watch the Ellen show regularly, but I did see some clips, in one of them an artist used an interpreter and she kept getting impatient and demanding short (incomplete) interpretations, and that really stuck with me, since I am an interpreter, it showed a lot of things in retrospect.
Adele isn’t american, the carnival isn’t in America either. Carnival is for all races, and all creeds. Everyone wears any style they like, you never know what a costume is going to represent : African, Indian, European. So calling”Cultural Appropriation” on Adele’s style of dress for carnival is just ignorant. Your…
I saw Katy Perry eyes too. 👀
It was a weird post. It just didn’t have a good vibe and her facial expression looks uncomfortable. She definitely could have gone without posting this or, better yet, not having worn this outfit in the first place. Such odd choices overall because she doesn’t seem like she’d be that tone deaf.
That and it would have definitely affected the kind of roles he could get. Hollywood is cruel; there is no way the studio would have hired him for Black Panther with a Stage 3 cancer diagnosis.

She’s wearing a chain around her neck, for fuck’s sake. Feel free to die on a different hill.
it’s....it’s just not a good look all around. just....confounding from head to midriff
Obligatory:
He is only 34. Not crazy to think at that age he hasn’t lost a parent, sibling or close friend. I am just a few years older and that is true for me. Grandparents are in a different league, because they leave us when they are old and it is expected — I don’t think anyone expects there 43 year old friend to die.
