I feel like three people know this reference.
The irony here is that I thought you were a kid, too. Weird. I’m actually in my 30s. I’m still waiting for some proof of your points. As I said, it’s your responsibility to prove them. Pardon the wiki link (I try to avoid these in general) but it’s pretty concise: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philosoph…
BAHAHAAHA!!! Now I know you’re trolling me. Typical righty, though: buzzword buzzword ad hominem. Love it. You have yet to prove any of the points that you’ve made, and as you made them FIRST, the onus is on you to do so. You just keep saying, “I’M RIGHT. YOU’RE DUMB.” without any follow up.
How is this going badly for me exactly? You’re hung up on this idea of how great things were before income tax existed. I guess if you think the only form of prosperity is monetary, then YES, they were FUCKING FANTASTIC. BUT, lets not forget about all the corruption, and killing of a natives, or lack of ANY form of…
Basically all you’re saying is “taxes bad” without making any verifiable points. And just so I’m on the same page, the gist of your argument is that you don’t think it’s fair that the money you make, by virtue of having money, shouldn’t be taxed because you’re “at risk” when doing it, and that you have no obligation…
My wife and I are expecting our first child, actually in like 3 days (Woo!), and this is high on our list of vehicles that can accommodate kids, dogs, can tow a small to medium sized trailer, and still gets decent mileage.
I just feel like you’re trolling me at this point. NOBODY can be this misinformed about history or how our country works - at a macro OR micro level.
How about you get off your mother’s computer and get a real job.
Why do you think I’m stealing from you? You’re under the misconception that I don’t make a comfortable income. Also, does killing natives and no child labor laws play into your notion of success? I’m just trying to gauge how far off the reservation you are.
I think you’ve deluded yourself into believing that time period was all rainbows and sunshine. What about times of economic growth that were post income tax? The late 19-teens, through the mid 20s, the 50s, the mid-late 90s?
Maybe you should tell us how many of those years didn’t involve an appreciable amount of infrastructure. You know, like roads. Also, I guess you’re concept of “thrived” is a little different than mine.
No income tax? Local, state, or federal?
What level of taxation do you think would be fair?
Is rent theft?
I assure you, you aren’t subsidizing me. I’m telling you, though, if you don’t like it, you’re MORE than welcome to move to an oligarchy to get the most bang for your buck. I recommend Mexico or Russia. I’m sure the comparatively low crime rates and excellent public works systems will be to your liking.
If you have enough gold that you’re subsidizing health care in a measurable amount, then you must be loaded. If you don’t like paying taxes, move to a third world country where the dollar goes farther. If the world was an apartment building, enjoying the luxuries and security this country provides the wealthy is akin…
You stop all this logic nonsense. RIGHT NOW.
I’m a huge proponent of the Dreamcast, so take my favorites with a grain of salt. Tokyo Xtreme Racer 2 and Test Drive: LeMans.
