I never thought I'd see the day where people boo a bespoke V10 and cheer a V6.

I seem to remember another major automotive manufacturer releasing a bespoke super car for around the same money just recently, and everyone LOVED to hate it....

You do know that luxury GT's are in the supercar category right? Veyron's are very much luxury gt's that go very fast.

Why shouldn't a luxury GT weight 4000 lbs? There are many great luxury gt's that weight that amount from the Aston Martin Vanquish to the Ferrari FF.

You're kidding me right? The engineering that went into the Veyron was, and frankly still is, absolutely astounding.

I'm sure to get a lot of hate, but I like that Lexus is going for such bold, outlandish, audacious designs.

Oh come on man…this is historically the most two-faced aspect of Jalopnik. The writers constantly condemn street racing, yet you guys report on things like Alex Roy's cross country record, the Afroduck story, etc. Not to mention the fact that if I read the words "hoon" or "hooning" one more fucking time on this site…

Nah dude it is cool if Jalops like Alex Roy and Mr Bean do it. Mr Bean turned a F1 into a box flying way over the speed limit, but he is cool. Alex roy's mission was to speed across the US and he made it on the front page of the Jalop Times.

why is it ok to say "rich white assholes"? I have yet to read an article on Jalopnik disparaging any race other than Caucasian. Wouldn't your point have been equally well served by just saying "rich assholes"?

I agree with you on the later Afroduck pieces, Matt, but not at all on Bolian. While I think what he did was significantly safer than drag racing on people-lined streets, the potential was there for Ed to cut a tire and crash into an innocent vehicle, or for someone to pull in front of him not expecting a Mercedes…
