Nope I never claimed it would absolutely not work, just that a company that relies on federal laws to borrow money from the American people wants to skirt those laws because it benefits them. The TADA is just doing what Tesla is doing, looking out for themselves.

That was because I was just focusing on the iPhone for this comparison. They sell the iPhone at Apple stores as well as through 3rd parties. What I ment by the quotes was me just singling out one product. That probably was not clear looking back. Obviously Apple sells more than 1 product. Thanks for picking one

I think you missed the point a little bit and maybe I should have explained it better. Have you ever ate there? They do not have the same food as in America, why? Because that would not work in their country. Same applies with cars, we both have Mercedes dealers but yours runs different because it works there.

Sorry I am not flawless! As I said in my post, in fact the very second sentence, there is much that I don't agree with. There is a better article to be had here that just picking apart a petition webpage. There are many things in the U.S. that we have no choice in, I cannot chose to be put to death just for

Based on my opinion which is different that yours. Where did you buy your last iPhone? I didn't buy mine from an Apple store. Tesla's model is often compared to Apples, even in this very article, and Apple even sells their merchandise through 3rd parties. When Tesla gets the size of Ford, GM, etc their direct to

Man, even on expensive supercars they still do that fake grill on some of it :( Get the dremel out!

Good looking car, right? It's pretty stunning in person, low and wide and aggressive. I think the front end is a big improvement over the 12C. A few folks mistook it for a P1.

I really don't have the time (about to leave work) but short version. Volume & Model Depth. If Tesla ever gets to the size of Ford, GM, etc their dealerships will be no different than the ones we have now.

Or are you just taking their comments at face value and not looking at the bigger picture.

Tell me all the things that work in other countries that would not work in your own country. Not everything works in all markets. Go eat a a McDonald's in Tokyo.

If you think the direct to customer business plan is going to work on a larger scale I would ask you to go read what even Elon himself said about his company as it grows.

Please explain how the direct to consumer business model would work on a large scale, even Musk himself said as production increased they would have to study other business models. I think it is a bit of a stretch to call the Tesla the only valuable product in the whole automotive industry.

Well the only person who know the true answer to that is Elon himself, so we will never know. But you have your opinion and I have mine.

I agree and I said multiple times in my post's I did not agree with everything they said. There is a better story here that just picking apart a petition website, time for some real journalism.

Meh, that is debatable. Like I told Patrick there is a better story here than just picking apart some petition website, thought that would require some actual work.

No not yet been busy with work :(

I live in Michigan also and am getting ready to get mine out of storage.

I agree and do not agree with most of what they are saying but if that is what they want to present then let them. If you really want them to prove their point in a way that makes sense I doubt this articles attitude is going to be very productive in that respect.

That poor SC :(

A little bit one sided, sadly I lost a little respect for the best writer on Jalopnik. While most of it I do not agree with, this part I really liked.
