yes BUT this is 100% predictable outcome for cancel culture. 

19th c immigration basically skipped the deep south, because there weren’t urban centers that could absorb immigrant communities, and also because there mostly weren’t jobs for immigrants. So, the South’s white population is much less varied than the Northeast’s, fewer Germans, Irish, Italians, Jews and on and on.
