...usually it’s a piece of truly fucked up junk food from a stadium.
He is, and that’s exactly why it’s problematic. There is a long history of racist discourse that compare black people to monkeys, gorillas, apes, etc. I understand what you were getting in terms of evolution, but it’s a problematic comparison. This article goes into it in more depth.
I need you to remember Moon Boy was part monkey and Moon Girl is African American and read your comment again.
That’s for the clarification and honesty. Reading your other comments, I believe you are coming from a good place. I hope you understand how inflammatory it came across, however.
Which is 100% true. And if it wasn’t clear, I wasn’t suggesting you were derailing.

I know that it has been suggested elsewhere, but Ms. Fulton does not come close to insinuating that. Why bring it up? Well, I know why. “I’ll take derailing conversations for $1,000, Alex.”

This is why I love you.
I was a young mom and not working in a job that provided health insurance (pre-Obamacare). Medicaid allowed me to finish college and still have health insurance for my daughter while I finished college. Without it, I would not have gone back to school.
This reminds me of two similar incidents that happened to me.
I worked at many pizza places where I would get burns that looked like lines on my forearms. I'd grab a pickle and slap it on my arm. Usually stuck ok for long enough to get rid of some of the pain.
In all the places I worked, it was a pickle, not mustard.
As someone from WI, this actually kind of tame for Grothman. Not even close to the most ridiculous thing he's ever said.
We are never going to agree because you and I have different definitions of what makes a person pregnant. Most doctors and scientists say that implantation must occur for someone to be pregnant.
