Why does he need to wash his hands? He doesnt even touch his wiener. He always pulls pants down and uses two hands to lift his shirt up.

By that logic, the classic Simpsons “I don’t remember it that way” gag is also racist. I don’t think that dog will hunt.

I think you are reaching with the complaints about the Rashomon hashtag. That title has come to be accepted as a phrase that describes this very situation.

Yeah, the Rashomon tag seemed totally acceptable to me for the simple reason that it is used properly. I think people are a little quick on the “He said Whaaaa?” bandwagon. Am I saying he didn’t do it? No. I don’t know. I’m not taking sides.

Yeah, I think it’s entirely possible David Cross is a jackass, and that this is a disingenuous apology, but I’m not so sure about the Rashomon thing. If he’d made some reference to Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon or even Godzilla, of course I’d be very bothered, but Rashomon is more universal.

It isn’t meant as an apology because he is saying he doesn’t remember acting that way. Also, why would noting the Rashomon Effect be racist? Are white people not supposed to mention ideas developed by Asian people even if that theory is 100% what he is claiming happened?

After the segment posted in the article, the show went to a commercial and then came back. Seinfeld said that he had thought about it over the break and realized that “I can’t separate it either.”

Which, if you’ll re-read the second to last paragraph, I think you will find it is touched on in the article above.

In what way did the review claim that Ilana’s use of “ma’am” instigated the alternate reality? All the review was saying was that, in the BAD DAY TIMELINE, the use of “ma’am” is what lead to Abbi backing away from Ilana and not pursuing the connection. It wasn’t what caused a timeline slip, yes (that already happened
