I imagine (or at least hope to imagine) that a lot of his “fans” are kids or really young adults who don’t get the whole parasocial relationship thing. They’re really susceptible to hype and fomo, and a need to belong in some group.

It makes them perfect targets for predators like dumbass over here(since I refuse to

Since we’re comparing Grandmothers - my American Grandma shot a man on the side of the road in the central valley back in the 30s. Apparently her and a friend were hitchhiking, caught a ride with a man, and when he started following them on foot after dropping them at the side of the road they realized his intentions

I love how he is all badass until he lets off the first shot then cowers.

I was thinking my grandma could control a gun better than this guy.

This is the society you get when you treat firearm ownership as an inalienable right, rather than a privilege with responsibilities.

100% nailed it. I was a big fan of Fire tablets until  I realized just how bad their hardware was.

Android tablets are garbage. Full stop. Get an iPad. I say this as someone who’s bought two Galaxy tablets for my mom over time and three Amazon tablets. I recently bought an iPad and iPad Mini as gifts. My dad didn’t want the iPad and I used it. SOO much better than the Galaxy and Amazon tablets. Sometimes being

Nope. Still better off with the $329 base iPad.

First step to finding a good android tablet: rule out anything made by amazon or samsung.

Yeah you could buy an android tablet, but then wouldn't you be stuck with an android tablet?  Seems like a no win scenario.

yep and have it last two years if you’re lucky. I’m still using a 2010 launch ipad today along with my other ones. Good luck finding a galaxy tab that still works from back then.

Counterpoint: Don’t buy a cheap Android tablet. They’re slow as shit, don’t get software updates nearly long enough, and did I mention they’re absolutely dogshit slow? I’ve gone through enough sub-$300 android tablets to just save up a little more for an iPad.

Purchased a Lenovo M10 SMart Tab with dock and Alexa Show Mode about a year ago. I am assuming it is Gen 1. I wanted it over an Echo Show device as it had the full Google Play Store. Pretty much from day 2, after it updated itself, it would lose the Bluetooth connection to the doc and the only way to reconnect was a

Just spend the extra $150 on an ipad and stop hating yourself. Android tablets in this price range always have garbage innards that are slow and annoying and for some reason apple decided to start hawking flagship chips with gorgeous screens for $300. The standard iPad is just as good as it’s always been (though

I have a Kindle fire that I bought for $30 on Prime day that I use as a secondary tablet, because of my first world problem of having a 2 floor house. I use it to read on mostly. I wouldn’t recommend it as a primary tablet to anyone unless you absolutely can not afford anything else, or want something it wouldn’t

And then replace it every 6 mo because they break.  Ive tried android tablets 3 times, starting with the nexus back in 2013, 2 more later i gave up. Bought an ipad mini 5 years ago. Still going strong.

Android tablets are fine for media consumption, especially for the kiddos, but nothing beats an iPad in terms of apps and support. I mean, the iPad Air, released in 2014—six years old!—is still getting major iOS updates in the form of iOS 14. Even for premium tablets like Samsung you’re lucky if you get half of that.
