This is not necessarily a thing to be happy about. Patreon is the only business/service that remotely resembles the “Long Tail” and “Micropayments” that were supposed to allow artists and politicians to support themselves without taking money from corporations or wealthy donors, and would allow smaller or niche…

As an aside, using Patreon as your main source of income isn’t a solid plan and truly demonstrates where his mind is at (wealthy, private financiers are also in on this? HA!).
