Did you think of using the X-Drive? You could drive across a frozen lake with 6 inches of snow on top with it-and winter tires.

Forgot to check the oil level?

The car itself is headed on its way to Valhalla even if some of the drivers get there first. I am amazed these cars still exist. Although, like the dodo bird and the battleship before it, evolution will win in the end.

Yes, let’s all try to be patient, boys and girls.

That’s also only less than 200 lbs less than a new Corvette. I wish they could have been closer to 3,000 lbs, but maybe they will come out with an “R” version, or something like that.

It took what it took. I would love to have an NSX.

I am pleased that at least one sports car out there is the automotive version of the everlasting gobstopper. You only get 200 horsepower, and 200 horsepower is enough for anyone.

That reply deserves a mic drop.

It’s hard to say, I know of 70 year olds flying vintage fighter and racing planes better than anyone. Wish I knew if there were mechanical factors at work here, or driver error.

Well sure, but at a certain point you have to wonder whether your loved ones might think your hobbies are selfish to the point that they are not as important to you as they should be. If my spouse or children were out there on the track with me that is a different story.

Hey, I understand. The weather up here sucks right now, and I am lucky to drive it once a week just to keep the battery charged. The WRX is a fabulous winter sports car.

I know I’m being slightly pedantic here, but I don’t listen to anything but the engine when I am driving that car unless it’s a long trip on the freeway. I get it though, it should be a better unit.

I wrote a note thanking the writer of the article for both articles on the STI and BRZ special editions. How in the hell did you get to your assumption from that?

There is a black one gathering moss behind an abandoned car dealership in a town where my inlaws live. I saw it again today. If I only had some extra time and room in the garage.

And the 2.5 turbo engines did not suffer nearly as bad as the n/a engines from leaky head gaskets. Now, cracked ring lands, on the other hand...

If you don’t think money has everything to do with why Porsche can make such a “substantial improvement in all aspects” between the base 911 and a GT3, and all Subaru has to do is make enough improvements to a special edition to warrant charging twice as much you are seriously deluded.

I owned them both at the same time. The WRX was my business and winter car. BRZ was for the summer and weekends. Actually I think Subaru should have sold them as a pair, since the complement each other very well.

Cable actuation versus gears in the BRZ and STI makes the WRX transmission feel cheap. The WRX suffers in comparison because they had to cut corners on a lot of things to keep the price down while serving up the level of performance that owners expected.

The Corvair has been ridiculously undervalued by the vintage car market for years. That may not be the case once these have been “discovered”.

The first car I ever drove was my dads 66 Corvair Corsa. I helped him tune the four single barrel carbs, and went out in it around the wooded winding roads in the subarban part of Seattle where we lived. I will never forget that car or those memories. Thanks Dad, I miss you and the car very much...
