I feel like this is the result of that “Look At Me” story (which is admittedly great) being super popular. That one gave you a layout of the house because it was necessary for the story. Everyone else is just making a Zillow listing.

Are y’all kidding with this headline? Yes, we know Newsom is garbage. I look forward to voting against him next year. But Jesus Christ, is right now the moment for this? When we’re at the tail end of a Republican recall campaign that we know could easily go the other way? Wouldn’t you rather remind your readers to get

I literally just finished watching Sarah’s video when I saw this pop up. absolutely wild

I remember the summer this came out. I was at the beach with my whole extended family. My dad, sister, and all my uncles and cousins went to see Jurassic Park III. But me, as a young 12yo gay boy decided to go see Legally Blonde with my mom and aunt and absolutely loved it. I still consider it one of the best

I definitely sneered when they announced that the Friends “reboot” would just be a reunion, but after the first few minutes I was like “oh more shows should go this route.” Particularly a show as culturally monolithic as Friends is, this was surely the best option. I could have done with out the James Cordon bits,

The Ugly Organ is really, truly a classic.

I really enjoyed the recently 2o20 Emma adaptation, but I did find he Victorian language hard to follow. So having a basically photo-perfect recall of Clueless really enhanced my viewing experience.

If they don’t hire Ben de la Creme to play Lynde, then it’s a complete missed opportunity

I think the best part of the Tim Burton Batman movies is that they realize that Batman isn’t the most interesting part of these stories: it’s the villains. Keaton is pretty forgettable as the Batman, but Joker, Penguin and Catwoman are all endlessly more compelling.

If you’re interested in a very thoughtful discussion on Gone With the Wind, I highly highly recommend ColdCrashPictures’s two part breakdown on the subject. He spends the first video just debunking Confederate apologia and then gets into the specifics of the film in the second. It’s extremely well done.

Hawa has come out bashing the publication as well on her instagram, basically saying she felt used as a diversity hire and saying she wants to be removed from the group photos that include her. Which is sad because I really enjoyed her videos as well!

I wanted to like this movie so much more than I did. Disney really need to retire the “one person turns into a wild animal in order to learn a lesson” trope.

The score for this film is one of my all time favorites. The score swirling and growing as EVE flies around for the first time always gets me choked up.

Bojack is chock full of background gags, obviously, but I still think my favorite background detail is the painting next to princess Carolyn’s front door. It’s a painting by the artist Louis Wain, who obsessively painted cats in the early 1900s. As he grew older, he developed schizophrenia and his cat paintings became

I can’t see a picture of Jeffrey Katzenberg without thinking about this graphic from Lindsay Ellis’s video about how he fucked over Robin Williams after Alladin.

I can’t tell if this is sarcasm or not. But on the off chance it’s not, you know they... did make a character called Gooigi, right?

which plays less prominently in the book because there, Mia is white.

Apparently Amy Sedaris saw Cole’s Mom Commercial video and said “I need him in my TV show” and that’s how he landed on At Home. And frankly if there’s anyone that I trust as a good judge of character, it’s Amy.

I’m rereading Annihilation by Jeff VanderMeer right now which I can’t tell if its helping or feeding my anxiety about the natural world reclaiming itself from us. And after that I’m excited to start Ted Chiang’s new(ish, it came out last year) book of short stories, Exhalation.

Funny how the “both sides” rhetoric is pretty harshly condemned in this movie, but was a given a whole pass and tons of praise in Knives Out. That movie was also smugly self-satisfied with it’s political nods without actually having anything to say about any of it and, when you got down to it, was basically just a
