Such a misnomer.. EVs almost all come with L1 charging capability .. that is it works with the 110v 15amp circuits that nearly every household in the US has. Even in bush alaska we can (and have) charged EVs and it doesn’t get more remote than that as far as infrastructure goes anywhere in the US.

instead of just having lanes, LA freeways are going to have lines painted across the lanes so they can have rows and rows of 11'x24' rectangles. and everyone can get their parking spots while sitting in traffic

That thing is going to need to be taken down, with all the readily visible damage to load bearing areas let alone the potentially compromised deeper non-visible damage I don’t see them wanting 300k cars going across that stretch daily. Even if limited large trucks cars alone would subject it to supporting several tons

On the Radio today they mentioned the pallet storage facility was on land rented from the DOT/Caltrans.

I’ve driven around the LA Basin a couple times.

I wonder how the rural-vs-urban split affects this.

Many are questioning why such a tinderbox of flammable material was allowed to be stored under the highly trafficked overpass, which Gov. Newsom said is still being assessed.”

I drive through LA twice on Saturday. The traffic was not great then; I can imagine what it’s like today.

Looks like all the ads left space for just the one picture. I keep coming back to this site just to see how much worse it can get. My expectations are always exceeded.  Well done.

“Storage lot.”

One of life’s greatest mysteries is how little car salespeople know about the products they sell. It’s because most aren’t really in sales (mentally and skills wise). The real sales industry hustles to convince their clients they need to buy XYZ. Car dealers have had it pretty easy the past 130 years.

“I felt like I knew more than they did,” Richards said.

the dealers didn’t seem to know much about the EVs they were selling. “I felt like I knew more than they did,” Richards said.

Longest I’ve been there was 4 nights. Flew in, two-day conference plus a golf outing and dinner at the end. I have never been more ready to get out of anywhere.

When David Foxx reached out to Jalopnik, he was on his 10th day of a 19-day vacation

Yeah, while I buy the flood of overpriced EV’s as a valid complaint, that’s an example of what the shareholders want coming to odds with what the consumer actually wants. That’s Ford’s problem as much as it is the dealer’s.

Let’s not forget Ford dealers advertising E vehicles with “No dealer markups” but then adding on 10% + of the MSRP in mandatory dealer installed “options”

Ford’s dealerships cranked the sleaze dial up to 11 during the last two years.

No, no, no! Corpses you put in OTHER people’s trash bin. not your own! Especially dead pets...
