Yeah, if he’d caused an accident doing it, the shitstorm right now would be intense. And I agree a rules change here is likely if for no reason other than that NASCAR isn’t going to want to see this become commonplace.

I really didn’t like this when it happened, but seeing the response has gotten me to come around to it. But I’m still worried it sets a precedent for some screwy shit. If championship drivers are 1/2 at Phoenix, will the guy in 2nd try it? Will the guy in 1st try it preemptively? It’s going to lead to something ugly

This is one of those things that I’m glad happened, I’m glad it worked, and I think is fun and exciting. That said, I don’t want every driver pulling this on the last lap of every short track they go to, so I hope they ban it.

I think this is one of those deals where if he would have crashed someone else in this process he'd be universally hated for it. A not-so-calculated risk, and I expect NASCAR will ban it.

2nd Gear:

acoutsic chamber through which air moves... with a speaker at the other end.

Odd to make it only a requirement for electrically powered vehicles though. Now pedestrians can hear EVs crawling in a parking lot but not gas cars? I experience about the same amount of inattentive pedestrians walking down the middle of the grocery store parking lot with me in the car creeping behind them in my Tesla

How about...  silence.

I just don’t think a noise coming out of a speaker will elicit the same response as an actual mechanical machine exploding gasoline and moving pistons.  I think having a speaker simulating exhaust would cheapen the whole experience.

I hear Ginny has teamed up with OJ to find the real perpetrator.

Hmm, I wonder how the investigation into who leaked the draft is going?

Maybe show some actual evidence that your lives were ever in danger, because there are plenty on real Americans whose lives are truly in danger because of you.

The gas engine is a A25A-FXS designed for fuel & thermal efficiency with a 14.0:1 compression ratio at the expense of power. Apparently it makes 174 – 189 hp which would mean around 25hp for each electrical motors.

This is like asking why drinking 4 scotches over 12 hours barely gets you warm, but 4 scotches in 30 minutes will have you singing La Macarena to your dog in a Scots accent. They’re arranging the use of the engines not to maximize power but to achieve a particular goal. This is a Toyota mass-production car built for “o

It can still be in later iterations. Depends on how the other Toyota EV fares. This is already setup with twin electric motors driving wheels so they have the bones for an EV already.

The ICE and electric motor make peak torque and power at different RPMs. For this reason the peak outputs cannot be added together. This is true of many hybrid/PHEV vehicles.

Shouldn’t the plants that are off line come back online and help improve the supply??

When I worked from home, my quality and wallet increased dramatically. I went to the gym more often (when they reopened), my commute was 5 steps, no more toll roads or stupid people, the air got clearer when most people were at home, I even went to the local park, I never go to the park, just taking traffic out of the

You had me at “no pants”
