The deacrease in MPGs due to Ethanol isn’t increasing your emissions since the fuel density isn’t as high as normal gasoline. It is actually decreasing your emissions due to it being a more pure fuel and the cleaner burning chemistry.

Given that ethanol gas is often 15% cheaper then the ethanol free gas, your coming out ahead even with the reduced MPGs.
