I thought the same thing. The driver and the car worked together rather than the driver wrestling the car around like you sometimes see.

The cage is there for crash protection and if they mount it right, won’t actually affect the car’s rigidity. They will just offset the weight by putting in lighter seats or removing something that doesn’t affect the performance.

I didn’t see a whole lot of flailing arms like you sometimes see when the car is fighting the driver. That was a just a solid drive and the car worked in unison with the driver

Similar, but not quite the same. I think the Merc nose is a bit wider.

Maybe the US flag on one side and the Italian on the other? That could be cool looking

Something like this would have looked awesome!

Only if the achievements are for stuff like “Made your brakes reach a temperature of 1000 C” from Project CARS.

Same here, I have the exact same engine in my ‘o3 TL-S and I haven’t had any oil burning issues. And I just tipped the odometer over 312k!

My ‘03 TL-S doesn’t burn any oil and it has an additional 40k miles vs. the CL here. That engine has lots of life left in it.

I have an ‘03 TL Type S and it’s still running strong despite the 312k miles on the clock! The issues with this car are fairly easy fixes and would be well worth it!

This looks promising! Hopefully it pans out well

I have some driving shoes, which I gotta say are nice for long drives. Granted they are Ferrari branded PUMA shoes, the same model as the driver in the LaFerrari video actually, so I do get some flak about them if I wear them anywhere else besides behind the wheel or at an event.

Yes! I saw that tweet from MSR today

Considering the road car has 14 heat exchangers, aero plays a pretty big role with the race car too.

The racing version is a very recent development. Probably only in the last year and a half or so.

It has to do with where they were classified at different intervals in the race. So for example if you lead the entire race, but have an issue on the last lap, you still get a lot of points toward this separate cup. It also rewards those who run very strongly through the whole race even if they aren’t on the podium.

Ariel isn’t really interested in the V6, but rather hybrid tech attached to the gearbox to fill in torque gaps. But then again, they did make a V8 version so.... they might want it all

The IMSA twitter was awesome, so cool to see someone have fun with an official page

The IMSA radio guys mentioned it a couple times during the race as well! Although they called them X-Fighters...

And the other one just got pushed into a wall
