That sax.

Watch Baskets. She's the best.

Call them. I added Starz and they lowered my rate at the same time.

Can't help wondering why you're here: Hate Gaiman and Fuller. So why watch or comment???

thanks. I like your explanation. Sometimes I just stop watching shows that revel in the gore. (I'm looking at you Hannibal and Class). But your explanation, especially for this show, makes me see it differently.

Everything about this is perfection! We're living in TV Heaven. Must be good karma.

Yes! The rarity of a beloved book being treated right!

Me too!

Thanks; I thought I was the only one

Yes!

I'm with you. I found her cruel, and not just to Hannah. In fact, it felt like a totally different character. No sweetness, no humility, none of the Shosh I enjoyed.

BLL comes from a mediocre novel, surprisingly reworked as excellent TV. I just find value in both: definitive payoff, and meandering uncertainty.

Well, it's more like life, which never makes sense. (Looked at our government lately?)

That perfectly wonderful kiss!!

They took a C novel and turned it into an A show. Perhaps they can do it again!

I suspect that those of us who read the book just read Ed differently. And those of us who love Party Down and P and R. I saw nothing skeevy about him, just an awkwardness around women. Plenty of non-skeevy men are like that. (I married a couple of them myself.)

Virginia Wolfe!!! Yikes!

Go to your rooms, you two!

Mom was right again. Smart mom!

I agree, except for the "good writing." To me, the writing is still its least effective quality. (But then I'm an old, retired writing prof, so ignore me. )
