Obi-Wan Kenobi the series seems to be doing its darndest to make me not care about Obi-Wan Kenobi the character.

I’ve never been punched in the face and I still have no trouble not being an asshole. I generally agree with your sentiment, but I don’t think that violence is the answer.

This is why I call myself a ‘Star Wars enjoyer’ rather than a ‘Star Wars fan.’ Fans are the worst. I can’t imagine being so worked up over a piece of entertainment, one way or the other. Some people need to develop some sort of identity outside of intellectual properties.

I saw Carlin perform at my little city’s convention center while he was still workshopping that routine, reading from notes, occasionally messing up jokes, and apologizing in advance for any fuck ups. He was still hilarious.

I run a kinship (guild) in LOTRO and have played for approximately 13 years. Despite its age, it still feels like home to me, and is hands-down the best representation of being able to interact with Middle-earth.
