Let’s be friends and have many discussions. :)

That video was about catcalling.

It’s not the single comment, but it is the general snark that happens around word choice for public figures. The opposite isn’t gold stars or kudos either. It’s simply not commenting.

In this case, I disagree with the substance of the snark as well. I think there is a lot of pushing to power through sponsorship.

Oddly, I stumbled on Deirdre Coyle’s review “Men Recommend David Foster Wallace To Me” several weeks ago. In it, she wrote about the incident with cocaine. She didn’t name Hafford in the piece.

I thought it was a beautiful piece of writing, so I’m linking it here in case anyone is not familiar with Coyle. It feels

And it is so, so common.

Yes, that is the one.

Your lack of inclusion of external factors makes me wonder if you’re really interested in an actual accounting or if you want to blame the Democratic party.

I just want a pragmatic progressive infrastructure, where we all agree to let the past be the past (except as relevant to getting Trump impeached/administration members under criminal indictment) and work together in strategic unity to win local, state, national elections going forward.

You’re probably right. *sigh* I wish it were easier to identify and keep this crap off social media. Part of what makes it challenging is that I knew to many real-life Sanders supporters who spout this same kind of crap, although they’re probably originally influenced by the Russian propoganda.

This is false. People can be, and HAVE BEEN, charged with making a false report if police decide that they don’t believe the survivor. I don’t know the stats, and I will not be surprised at all if it’s rare. But it happens, and it’s devastating. There are several accounts you can Google to get an idea of how damaging

I think that’s a bullshit, unrealistic expecation that means no one will be an ally. I also don’t think the word “ally” should even apply to a woman calling out a rapist based on other people’s accounts. Allies are people who have no investment in the issue. Women are all invested in fighting against sexual assault.

Sorry if I misread you. I’ll admit my blood is running hot right now. I’ve consistently seen PoC Sanders’ supporters use that fact—which I agree is a fact—to downplay the impact of PoC support for Hillary/opposition to Sanders, so I may have brought that history into my reading of your comment.

Yeah, the big plus to Bernie was supposed to be all the energy he brought into the Democratic party. But as far as I can tell, all he brought was a lot of chaos and backstabbing, which we absolutely cannot afford right now.

Thank you! Pragmatic progressivism for the win.

I’m sorry... I know I shouldn’t waste time or breath responding to you... but “demented obsession with Russian interference”... really? You consider it a demented obsession to care about the fact that a foreign power interfered in the legitimacy of our election, resulting in Trump’s electoral college victory? You

Facts are not white nonsense. PoC literally gave Hillary the primary win. This is easily obtainable voting data.

I never saw any polls that showed PoC as pro-Bernie. They were evenly split in the younger demographics.

I am so beyond livid. There are state elections happening in a week! Our only chance to save national Democracy—and I am NOT speaking hyperbolically here—is to tip the balance of state power and Congressional power back to the Democrats. NOTHING is more important than this.

Go look up what the DNC actually does. Because all you’re doing right now is broadcasting that you don’t know what you’re talking about.

That didn’t happen, however. It didn’t happen, in part, because Sanders was never on track to be a credible threat to her win, and it was only media BS that led people to think he was. But had he somehow pulled off the upset, there is no way that Hillary would have done anything other than fully support him against
