I’m a local too. I followed his ex on instagram and noticed they must have broken up because he was never in the pics anymore and it seemed she moved? I don’t know her besides her instagram. Sounds like she did the right thing!
I felt like I recognized this dude, but I definitely would not know a Top Chef winner. I realized that he reminds me of Jon “& Kate + 8" Gosselin.
I know. I really liked him on that garbage season he was in. His poor girlfriend and her baby (and his? idk irrelevant).
She was in town for SX, if you look at her facebook/twitter feed. I had no idea that they broke up.

gotta point out that this nasty motherfucker has an equally nasty and bougie restaurant here in Austin, and there’s a timely annoucement on their website saying “Qui will be closed Monday, March 21st. We will resume regular business hours tomorrow - have a happy Monday!”

Welp. I was just talking to my SO about how we needed to finally check Qui out, since we love his trailers and his work with Uchiko. Fuuuuuuuck him now, I’m definitely not shelling hundreds at his restaurant to support him.
IIRC, he was super nice and likable on a season full of bullies. He might be one of my favorite chefs from the show. How awful for the family involved.
