So now it looks like the “reform” that VW came up with for dieselgate...STILL CHEATS!!!

Nitpick: Says the FD is a 1993. The tach and speedo (at least) are from a 1994 or newer model.

I had decided that the best scenario for me was to keep my car for the time being, receive my restitution and get the car fixed when the repair was approved by the EPA. I have now been told that the restitution will only be paid AFTER the repair is done - which could be as late as May 2018. Or never.

I have a 2012 Golf with the DSG (Dual-Clutch) transmission. Any idea if that is considered an “Automatic Trans.” for the Options adjustment?

How could $5000 for every owner possibly be considered equitable? A loaded Passat TDI or (Audi A3 TDI) was close to double the price of a base Golf TDI. And what about the V6's? The Touaregs were probably triple!

My guess is that I will know about the fix before the dealer does. That was the case with the “Goodwill Program.” Calling a dealer about anything that doesn’t relate to “how much I would like my payment to be” is usually an exercise in futility.

1st Gear: Oh, well as long the stock does well :/

1st Gear: VW really couldn’t be handling this much worse - slowly and secretly are not the adverbs they should have selected for the “___gate” edition of Corporate Mad Libs.

Oh, V6! Welcome, welcome! We’ve been saving a seat for you!

That’s why I made my “Sorry...I didn’t know.” bumper stickers. Maybe it will defuse one of these lunatics.

“Here’s your cheaty-cheating module, but don’t, you know, use it or anything,” Bosch said, spraining his eyelid with the aggressiveness of his winking. “Oh, thank you!” replied, Volkswagen. “We would never use the eleventy million cheaty-cheating modules that we will have you make for us.” After keeping straight faces

Goodwill Package Program Rules #9: “... Eligibility, registration, activation and redemption of Goodwill Package are subject to present and future program rules, which are incorporated by reference and may be modified by VWoA at any time without notice.”

Hey - it worked for Kobe Bryant after he cheated... although I think that ring was more than $500.00 :/

Because, of course :(

I installed one this summer. I also needed the pigtail for mine - this video would have been really handy! The unit works great as both a timed fan and as an auto-sensor. I was skeptical, but a few times I have forgotten to hit the button before I step in the shower and after a minute or two, I hear the fan start on

There was an episode of COPS where a shady guy got pulled over and the officer saw a joint in the car. He pulls him out of the car, puts him in cuffs and asks if there is any more pot in the car. The guy says, “no.” The cop then goes on to find pot in the glove box and asks again, “any more pot?” The guy says, “no.”

They always say that the cover-up is worse than the crime - and the crime here is already pretty bad. Seriously, VW - the cat’s out of the bag. Don’t pretend there wasn’t a bag!

No matter how well the “fix” works to solve the emissions issue (which I DO want fixed), I’m still assuming that I will not be compensated for: reduced performance, reduced mileage (I have a ‘12), or the diminution in resale value.

“Customers receiving repairs should expect to maintain the EPA fuel economy ratings on their vehicles after receiving a fix, though performance may be impacted” <— I would have to imagine that the “impact” has to be at least noticable, if not significant, or why not have the cars operate in the “fixed” parameters from
