There's no region lock on Mega Drive/Genesis. Ok, yes there is, but it was only a physical "region lock", which is the shape of the cartridge. To make your hardware region free, all you need to do is sandpaper the console's slot wide enough to accomodate the other region's games.

I'm going on a shopping spree at Steam's summer camp sale. I can't say it's making me poor, but it will definitely take a good chunk out of my time if I'm planning to go thru all the games I bought. You gotta love great games that's cheaper than a cafeteria meal.

Believe it or not, I learnt how the diff works from a Lego set called Mindstorms.

I never enjoyed FPS or TPS with movements across multiple sources of gravity. It's already a challenge for the AI to figure out the "correct" camera angles with normal gravity. A few segments in Dead Space ended up really frustrating.

Akin to what the collector mentioned in the article, I think was the happiest when I played the hell out of one game for a long time. Like SMB that came with the NES and Altered Beast with the Genesis. At that time I felt fortunate enough to convince my parents to buy the system so I didn't dared to ask for more…
