Your unresolved feelings may well have to remain that way. If you resolve them with your friend, you risk damaging what you have with your wife. That is the simple decision. Again, it's not easy. I understand that.

I'm religious - a practicing Christian. I'm also constantly upset by people who use religion as a reason to disparage homosexuality, or anything or anyone.

When I married, we looked at commercial bakers for our cake. A "celebration cake" was about a third of the cost of a "wedding cake", and looked like the same bloody thing.

I'm so glad I married quite young. We were not exactly flush with cash and paid for our own wedding, so it was simple.

I used to be scared of losing respect.
As I got older, I realised that love and friendship means accepting weaknesses in others - or not being friends with them any more. That is your choice.

I also had pretty low self-esteem when I was starting out. I had someone treat me like garbage (only for months, though, because I found out she was cheating on me) early on.
