I wish there were more American reality shows that followed this formula. The BBC are great a thoughtful, engaging, non-manufactured seeming reality tv. Watching them try to put together Showstoppers just under the wire has edge-of-your-seat drama, too.

It’s one of those things you can’t believe will be good, even though people keep telling you it’s great.

I’m glad the Queen got this but this technology does not seem that complicated. Couldn’t they put a sliding purse rack in every single car? It’s not like half of fucking car buyers (or more!) don’t have have bags or purses of some kind with them.

There are 18 year old pedophiles. It gets confusing, because many 18 year olds date people who are a few years younger than them; I dated an 18 year old when I was 14/15. But most 18 year olds see other teenagers as peers. Some 18 year olds are sexually attracted to pre-pubescent kids which is different. An 18

Cruise has 3 kids- he adopted two with Nicole Kidman

If when Project Runway went to Lifetime it had lost Tim Gunn.

2000 wasn’t swung by Nader. It was swung by the 200,000 Florida Democrats who voted for George W Bush.

I love these but HATE the cut of the heavy ones. I am okay with full coverage but these manage to be unflattering and ride up my ass. Still. They make my period way less of a pain in the ass.

wherein you gush and then feel blood creeping up your vulva and down your asscrack

I will answer your questions! I throw them in the wash, with dark colors. Sometimes I rinse them in the sink first, sometimes I don’t. I’m not that grossed out by menstrual blood so that’s not a problem for me (I had a cup which I’d rinse in the sink, too). What’s weird is that almost nothing comes out when you rinse

They have no stretch and for me they chafe when I exercise in them. The padding in the crotch is very thin; I don’t think it would help much on a bike.

I’m curious about Dear Kate - can you wear them instead of using a tampon/pad/menstrual cup? I looked at their website and it seems like they don’t recommend just relying on their underpants.

I'm sorry. Yeah, it's shitty, and for a smart kid who sticks out for being smart it can be brutal. College kids are at least a little more compassionate

I think it’s not only people who loved high school, but maybe some people who think “I went through all of that and this kid should have to, too.”

This kid will get plenty of that navigating without high school, I’m sure.

Everyone on this thread is acting like junior high and high school were really wonderful social experiences that this poor kid is missing out on.

Maybe he's happy? Maybe he's made happy more by intellectual pursuits than socializing?

My cousin went to college at 14 for computer engineering. He’s now 38, married with 3 kids, and works at Google. He is definitely socially awkward, to a certain extent, but I don’t think forcing him to go through 4 years of high school just to “socialize” would have helped him at all. He’s doing just fine.

Sort of. I also think that that’s what Gabrielle Union is saying in her article - that the Nate Park issue adds a layer of conversation to this film.

I mean if people see the film and have a discussion about consent then I think thats fabulous. I just...doubt it.
