I beg to differ. My ZX3, winter car, ran from 80K to 170K (hard miles) needing only a wheel bearing and coil pack, which were both very cheap to repair.
1st gen Focus. Specifically the ZX3. Cheap, fun to drive, great MPG, and can haul lots of stuff.
