Sure it has a Honda motor with the same service schedule as a Civic, but with no doors, windows, heat, or trunk, it would make for an insane daily driver.

Good call, but I am not sure this could be considered a production car. Sure 200 were built, but for only one year, with no follow up model offered.

Good call.

Hear me out. Before the E30 M3 there was the 2.3 16V Mercedes. This factory tuned car lead to the E30 M3 which lead to every other car company offering a factory tuned car. M3, M5, S4, AMG, STi, Type R, SVT, Type S, etc.... It all started with the 2.3 16v.

That and the 2004 Corvette. No cars in 2005.

Nice ones can be had for $50k. The problem is, if the A/C goes out, it's a mortgage payment. What am I talking about, every repair on this car is a mortgage payment. Cam belt service = $10,000.

Agreed. Great car until the change engine light comes on.

A friend of mine always wanted one of those. He bought a clean one for $3,000 and then had to take a second loan to have the motor rebuilt the next month. Doh!
