My grandmother lived to be 91, and she smoked from age 13 to 90, when my aunt took her cigarettes away for fear she might fall asleep with one in her hand. I don’t think mere normal people could get away with that, though. Grandma Helen was a seriously cool old lady:

I EAT SO MANY BANANAS I’M GONNA LIVE F’REVER.

This woman looks badass and I would like to share a drink with her. Happy Birthday, Maysie!

Yes. That’s gross.

That dad is awesome. The kids in the trailer park I grew up in used to build obstacle courses like this for ourselves. They were.... less safe. I entered adulthood with a lot of scars.

These are the days of Trump and Lochte and god knows what else. If you can’t think of a reason then you don’t have much of an imagination.

Okay, I want to say something a little bit controversial here...

I’m sorry you’ve had such a rough time. I hope you’ve considered that your partner has a positive role to play in this too. He can touch you, go down on you and help you connect to your sensuality and sexuality in many ways that have nothing to do with penetration but may ultimately help you relax and enjoy sex.

Or weed and oral? Oral sex is crucial to enjoyable sex. For some people. It might be easier to relax and re-teach your brain that sex is fun if you take penetration out of the equation? Like, just practice oral with your husband until you find yourself enjoying it and having an orgasm.

She’s a lying, manipulative, unethical person. She’s not your average woman who happens to have fame and money. She and her family are awful. A lot of people on here are yelling ‘victim blaming!’ when actually, most people are just expressing their apathy.

I understand how aborting fetuses with Down Syndrome is controversial to some but how can anyone feel good about forcing a woman to have a child with special needs she doesn’t feel capable of caring for? Poland better be giving these women TONS of support but my guess is they don’t care once the child is born.

You’re a better person than I am. Having worked on her show before and dealt with her entitled, asshole family, I don’t believe for a second this a) actually happened, and b) that her family deserves any sympathy for it if it somehow did happen. These are terrible people we’re talking about here. Not because the mom

Live streaming and the internet “democratized” the front row, not Kim. Kim sitting in the front row no way, in any shape or form, opened it up to you, your family, or your friends.

Chuck Norris checks under his bed every night for Pascal Duvier.

Given the smoke and mirrors involved in the making of the Kardashian brand, or any reality show, it’s not really an asshole comment.

Kim, I won’t believe it unless Kameras Kaptured it. Sorry.

So, I’ve never read Ferrante. But this brings up some interesting conversations re: “literary truth”. We expect to know all about the life of an author in part bc we want to know if they are “qualified” to tell a certain story.

What is the connection between a guy who was found not guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and thus was never incarcerated, and the mass incarceration problem? His acquittal entitled him to not being incarcerated. It didn’t entitle him to anyone’s respect, to not have to answer questions, or to be free from criticism.
