I always love it when developers explain the reasons behind decisions because its both very informative, and listening to capital ‘G’ Gamer accusations is exhausting. If you ask Twitter, 30fps is becase devs just need to move the FPS slider on the Engine Screen up to ‘60', and refusing to do so are Devs being LAZY.

I’m pro-emulation and always frustrated when resources are taken offline for older consoles and games. For brazenly discussing emulation of a major Nintendo game weeks before it released? I’m amazed they lasted past the leak’s first day. Nobody can be surprised about this.

Weren’t most of the best episodes of Black Mirror ultimately about the potential corruptibility of humankind? I’m not complaining. That just doesn’t seem like a new take. That’s seemed like a theme of just about every episode with perhaps the exception of San Junipero and Hang the DJ which are still more about people

Exactly — it’s fine that it’s inspired by Infinite, but lmao to anyone not seeing the many obvious connections here. This is not about just another game using a steampunk aesthetic.

I think by ‘amateurish’ they meant ‘British.’

A lot of posts end up with comment counts in the single digits (or none at all!), something that never used to happen. The ones which gain any sort of activity beyond that are the spicy takes which energize troll accounts, who then bait readers into participating. It’s depressing.

the CEO blamed it on the “worsening economy” and “market reality”

Personally, I’m inclined to not judge people too harshly for not immediately denouncing people who are clearly close friends in their personal lives merely because the internet hordes are baying for them to do so. Leaving aside the fact that it’s easy to forget that we only really know these people through AV Club

I hear he’s been functioning as the leg of a mythical woodland creature in Colorado.

I completely believe Robert Downey Jr. when he says that Mel Gibson helped him during the lowest points of his life and helped him get sober.

Putin invading Ukraine harmed Ukrainians, Gilbert setting a book in Siberia plainly does not.

Bioshock Infinite isn’t a great game...

I never saw Kingdom of the Crystal Skull — should I?

Skip it, for your health. Unless you kinkily enjoy one of the following:

There are some people that would say “Kingdom of the Crystal Skull? There was no such movie. NO. SUCH. MOVIE.” I mean, it’s…okay. Do you like Shia Labouf? Do you like aliens? Then maybe you’ll enjoy it. But I don’t think it’s mandatory to see before this new one.

For all that is holy, avoid Kingdom of the Crystal Skull at all costs. Like, if you find a DVD of it in your house, handle it with gloves before you burn it.

You only think that because you read and understood what Azaria said!!!

My interpretation of the “so-called” part of the quote is he agrees with you.

“Problematic” has become synonymous with “things I don’t like” within the Puritan Twitter crowd. You guys are weird.

Where have I seen this before? Oh yeah, September 2020 in San Francisco. This was at 9:30am.
