Laserface ruined it for all of us.
Laserface ruined it for all of us.
The novella’s title is “Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption” because the poster he hangs up in his jail cell features, you guessed it —
Loved her and wouldn’t/couldn’t admit it, because then admitting it would mean he lost someone he loved, which he probably swore to himself he’d never do again after the death of his daughter. Somewhat parallels his insistence that his brother is alive: since he loves his brother, he can’t admit he might be lost.
Ya know, I’m actually excited to see Mario now. Wasn’t stoked about Pratt’s casting (still iffy on it) but after seeing the trailers, it looks like a fun ode to Mario, so I might actually see it. Not a fan of Marvel movies myself.
The first bit of the film when they’re in the house with the two main actors (the whole premise of which the film is sold on) is honestly great. Pretty tense and interesting and you wanna see where it’s gonna go, and then...it just cuts. Grinds momentum to a halt to focus on a different storyline, which sure,…
Barbarian was a steaming pile of shit. I honestly have no idea how anyone could find anything remotely valuable in that film, let alone how it seems to be on so many “best of” lists.
I defiantly think our language is evolving, but I could care less.
Why’s everyone so harsh on The War on Drugs? I think they’re actually pretty good live if the venue has good acoustics.
I will uninstall my ad blocker if you guys start putting which platforms these games are on next to their title.
The first thing I ever saw Mikey Day in was a David Blaine parody where he kept repeating “What the eff David Blaine?” and “Stop putting things on our bodies, David Blaine!” That was back in 2007 so yeah that’s kinda his whole thing.
His presence was pretty fun and I liked the sort of absurdist bordering on annoying comic energy he brought to the show (him and Noel obviously having a great time together), but this is a sweet show for softies and his whole vibe clashed with that a lot, so it’s probably best he mosey on.
Yeah...I’m just a wee bit nostalgic for the olden times, I guess.
“Hanukkah’s great and all, but it lacks the romanization of pagan rituals”
Yeah color me foolish for thinking that the deal would’ve given the guys a kick in the inspiration parts. I was kinda hoping they’d do less topical stuff, and maybe have some fun. Like the great solo Butters episode or Fun Time With Weapons and whatnot. A little bit of me even thought they might do something…
They’ve done like 3-4 of them already, I think. Off the top of my head there was the two-parters South Park Post-COVID and South Park: The Streaming Wars. They just don’t feel like actual specials or anything, just extended episodes, so they’re not terribly noteworthy.
This movie is getting sucked into the Great Culture Wars that gobbled up the MCU discourse, and honestly, it’s already exhausting.
I sincerely can’t tell if you’re trolling or not...are you? Please tell me you are.
I heard Ripa was a secret kinky freak, and while I have no idea where I heard that or whether or not it was legitimate, I still think about it sometimes and smile.
And yet here I am, hemming-and-hawing about buying indie games for $20, waiting for sales...
I watched it thinking it was a single run, and kept thinking “dang, how are they gonna wrap this all up?” only to find it was intended as a multi-season thing. Which is the first I think of Flanagan’s shows to do that, so that definitely didn’t help the confusion.
