You nailed it! Combat was a chore, especially with two-handed weapons. They take way too long to swing, and they leave you incredibly vulnerable to attack. And yet all you can ever find are two-handed weapons, so then when you do find a one-handed weapon and a decent shield, you finally get to try the parry/dodge…

Mass Effect RPG but instead of saving the world and killing everyone you just, like, run a bar on the New Citadel or something and get to interact with all the people and solve little mysteries and puzzles and also run your bar and who knows maybe you get to romance an alien or two.

I think specifically “cleaning fees” started getting higher due to Covid as the places had to be “disinfected” and all that (read: Lysol was sprayed everywhere).
