Waterworld, much like The Postman, would’ve been served better if it had been played as a serious movie. When both films do start to flirt with that seriousness, they’re genuinely enjoyable. It’s when they turn silly and “family friendly” that they lose what makes them interesting.

Last season was kinda rough, hoping this one’s tighter and funnier. Didn’t watch Human Resources or whatever it was called because that seemed like a lot. But also stoked to have more Big Mouth!

I’m not as warm on the Please Don’t Destroy sketches as others. They all kinda follow the same trajectory/beats and while they’re sorta fun, they don’t really do anything to stand out and make them memorable. Maybe if they didn’t film most of them in their office?

I’m seein’ double here - FOUR eyes!

That’s what I like about Adam McKay’s satire: it’s real subtle. Nuanced. You almost don’t even realize it’s satire! That’s why Vice and Don’t Look Up are such cinematic masterpieces. You have to rewatch them at least a couple times to really pick up on the underlying messages. I almost thought this was a real ad for

Ah, had to play the ol’ game of “Ro’ - Mac’ - ‘Bo” to choose which one, eh?

Dude, it’s $5 a month. Even if it took you two months to catch up on Mythic Quest/Ted Lasso, that’s half the cost of a month of Netflix. Then just cancel until new seasons come out, it’s pretty simple.

I found it was much harder to find decent single-handed weapons than double-handed, which was frustrating because the double-handed weapon swings were soooo slow. I preferred the sword and shield method, but since shields also broke, I found myself being forced on long hauls to use Moblin clubs or something more often

Some current and former Ubisoft developers speculated the game would have been canceled long ago if not for the hundreds of millions spent and a contract with the Singapore government to eventually ship the game in return for generous tax subsidies.”

Keep politics out of games (streaming sites)!!!!

Like most of his videos, it’s pretty hard to tell where he’s being sincere, sarcastic, or self-deprecating (sometimes all three at once!) so I’d take a lot of his big claims about how important he is with a tiiiiiny grain of salt, y’all.

Credit where it’s due: they all actually look pretty good and it’s not distracting. This is actually really fun, I dig it.

Rigged election, there wasn’t even a vote!

NYFW goes NSFW?

Oh, bother.

Melissa’s character work wasn’t very strong, unless she was deep in impersonation, which she obviously excels at. They had the same problem with Jay Pharoah I think, who was also amazing at impersonations but wasn’t utilized much in sketches beyond that. (Though his princial character was funny, and he was great in

Yup, and that’s not really a bad thing; I am glad there’s more cozy, simlike games than, say, hyperviolent bloodbath games. But I was just hoping for a bit more variety in this direct, though there were a couple titles that piqued my interest a bit (Oddballers, Tunic, Mario & Rabbids Sparks of Hope, Ib to name a few).

Seeing Sudeikis do the dances but in a suit would’ve been amazing.

Colbert Report and The Daily Show used to sweep before they separated the category into “talk” and “variety” subcategories. Weirdly, Inside Amy Schumer beat them the first year after they did that, and then Key and Peele, then SNL swept from then on.

Anyone else think Lorne looked old? Like, I know he is old but I guess I hadn’t seen him in awhile.
