Also, I don't think I've seen a trans-vaginal ultrasound represented on TV ever, but it would have been so awesome/incongruous/hilarious if The Originals of all shows was the first to get real with it.

As an also-pregnant, I actually think they were just listening to the baby's hb with a doppler, which can usually be done from like 9-10 weeks. I had the same though at first! "hey, shouldn't that be trans-vaginal!?" and then I saw that she was holding a doppler wand not an ultrasound wand.
