I feel ya. He's already so high up (being Representative Director along with Genyo Takeda) though that I could see him maybe just donning the salaryman outfit for shareholder meetings and such while never losing his outward appearance as a creative.

Of course! I had already forgotten.
The business publications are definitely speculating that Miyamoto will. I feel like that would actually be a great move but what the hell do I know.
I just read his (Yamauchi's) bio on wiki and this jumped out at me:
That plot point is (in addition to other sources) apparently stolen whole cloth from countless nutjobs on Above Top Secret going back to the late 90s.
You won't believe number 15!
Hey! I know what Halo is! I get it!
OK, I clicked the link thinking it was real. You got me.
Yamauchi was basically the stereotypical ruthless businessman (and he was damn good at it!) while Iwata was the anti-Yamauchi and probably more an example of a post-War, modern businessman who was more than just a bean counter.
PE just seems to come out of nowhere. Absolutely terrifying.
Great summary of his wonderful achievements. Thank you.
He couldn't find the last piece of that heart container in time. :(
This a thousand times. He also had such a good sense of humor about himself.
Class act from beginning to end. Even cut his own pay when times were tough. The industry is getting old enough that stories like this will become more common and I don't look forward to reading a single one. RIP.
I have passingly seen right wing references to the end of 4th of July celebrations but just assumed it was more insane conspiracy rambling. That's good to hear.
Good to know! I definitely deserve some shame for never even checking. Just goes to show that sometimes when we hear something that confirms our biases we are likely to take it at face value.
Which lead to a delightful photoshopped picture of that illustration from (I think) the Ramayana with the big glorious chariot with a guy on it (oh god I'm exposing my ignorance about this so hard) trailing a Confederate flag. It's glorious. The people insisting on calling him Piyush… not so much.
Dallas has (had? haven't been there in a while) a really great non-college affiliated indie station way down on the left that had a really awesome metal show every other night or so. There's some cool stuff on the lower Hz.
I have actually never met a speech pathologist before, but I can't imagine that that's how they're supposed to do their job. I saw this in a comment on the Log that I thought was really sad:
Especially your dirty, dirty bodies and alternately nonexistant or out of control sexual urges.
