I spend a lot of time with Twitter data. I use it for research and teaching. I have found that for many lay users, the bot is in the eye of the beholder.

Some of it seems to just be capitalism, at least in its most fundamental (or maybe more accurately, fundamentalist) sense, where the long-term effects are just completely ignored of whatever short-term goal (i.e. profit above all else) might be had.

There are a lot of problems that could be fixed fairly easily, like funding infrastructure replacement, increasing vaccination rates, promoting less polluting energy sources, et cetera. On a private, personal, level, the vast majority of people in power agree that these would be good things to do. Maybe not the exact…

The issue with longer loans is the part where you get upside down on the loan, and the longer the loan the longer you’re upside down. So 0% is great, but if in a year something happens and you need to sell your car, it’s worth less than what you owe on the loan.
