I have to agree with a couple of other posters here, that while the sex scene is a bit hard to read now as an adult, I first read ‘It’ at the age 0f 13 and it wasn’t such a jarring scene then because I was much closer in age to the protagonists and had had recent experience of sexual activity among peers at their age.

Indeed. It wasn’t a bad movie (despite the god awful protagonist who ditches his kid with a random woman so he can be the hero for most of the film) as far as these things go but it was a piss poor adaptation.

Oh please, that whole “I don’t believe in labels” line is a classic plausible deniability trick that films pull. It’s not sweeping it under the rug because there is nothing to sweep. Such a great episode, and one that kept me engaged all the way through which isn’t always the case with Black Mirror. I think the twist in this case is that the queer women had a happy ending, even if they did technically die!
