It's not entirely a criticism on my part, but really more of a knee-jerk reaction. I feel like there's kind of a bigger question about how the audience is supposed to view the show. For myself, I feel like the last 15 years of TV has conditioned me to expect a degree of realism or verisimilitude. Shows like the Wire

I don't buy either. It hammered home that people wanted in so that they could feel safe, and there seemed to be some business that grew up around people moving in (hence the auction) or sneaking in (hence the weird Dutch guy who sold Matt the location of the storm drain). I can see the GR people wanting to trash

I was half expecting Holy Wayne to show up.

I was really losing interest in the episode and feeling like it went too far up its own hyperserious ass, but the karaoke scene won me back. It's just a nice touch of a different kind of absurdity.

The whole concept of Miracle just hasn't made any sense to me. Some things just go way beyond my ability to suspend disbelief.

It's insane that guy's taint.

"losing an appeal at the Supreme Court"

No mention of Get Crazy?!

"Every part of the arson buffalo." Keep it up buddy.

And they totally explain why that's important.

And how!!

Are we still talking about Scott Walker? Or is it Mike Huckabee now?

The fact that they're obviously enjoying themselves is what sold this film for me. It's what I look for in a live rock show, too. People who are just there for the paycheck are usually not much fun to watch.

There's a solid difference between criticism and saying "that sucks."

It's not so much the commenting/criticizing. It's that many people have written the show off or have claimed to do so, and then come here to just trash it. My point is that if people don't like it as much as they're projecting that they don't like, maybe their time could be spent better elsewhere.

To be honest, we were like "who's Stan" when watching the episode where they found his body. They filled in Stan's story in retrospect, which I assumed they would, though in much more dramatic fashion, but which maybe is not the best choice. That's probably a technique best reserved for a major plot point. So yeah,

I seriously laughed out loud. Sorry to sound punchy.

Wow, dude. I'm glad you have time in your day to scour your Thesaurus for insults.

Why are you watching the show at all? You don't have to, you know. There are other things you can comment on, too.

Yeah, no. These are not comparable situations at all. We (the audience) are supposed to care about Sonny Corleone, himself. He's a principal character. Why else do we care whether he bangs bridesmaids? We aren't supposed to care about Luca Brasi in any real way. He's a prop to give depth to our understanding of the
